Welcome to TLT Canvas Training! This course site provides tools, best practices, and interactive assignments to prepare you for teaching online at Providence College. The staff in the Office of Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT) looks forward to working with you.

The TLT has both in-house and organizational/vendor resources for teaching online, that allow for 24/7/365 Support from TIER 1 Experts with Canvas Creators Instructure for our faculty. The TLT staff works with faculty on their development and transition for teaching online, face-to-face, on campus, or via remote Zoom calls.

The left-side navigation menu includes a "Home" button, which will bring you back to here. The "Modules" button acts as a gateway to your class that includes everything you need to know to start your first Canvas class. Most of the icons in the black section you will not use for this first lesson, with the exception of Dashboard, and the Help or Question mark button. As you can see, help is built into this entire program.
