Giving Students Extra Time (aka Modifying Due Dates)

As close as you align your syllabus with assignments and due dates, there is always going to be opportunity and need to modify due dates -- for an individual, for a group, etc.

One of the easiest ways to modify a time and due date for the class is to return to the assignment itself and change the dates and times.  This will immediately update the new time and date for everyone that you have listed.

 

                                                                                                         

If you just want to change the date and time for 1 or a few members of the class.  You can delete the everyone box in the assign to section, and add the students you want to add there.

                                                                                                 

 

Other students may have specific needs or accomodations outside of the ability of this section of the assignments.  For more options to allow different times and dates.  Go to the Quizzes page.  There you will go to the 3 stacked dots or the "Ellipses".  From there you will have the option of allowing more time for students with accomodations.
